So instead of sharing all of that with you (which I did, but then deleted!) I will instead share this

ahhhh a night of hand quilting ahead of me. Not really relaxing yet but perhaps at some point it will become so. I'm guessing more relaxing than toddler melt downs on the street, the cat walking through a puddle of red paint and then over cream coloured carpet, butter being painted over one of my sewing books ... whoops sorry I forgot I wasn't going to share!
ooooh wishing you a great day 2morrow. Enjoy your quilting and think nice happy thoughts whilst stitching. One day you will look back on 2day and laugh, another memory to think about, one day. Happy Stitching
ReplyDeleteHi Mel - Sounds like you had the kind of day you would rather forget, but I know one day you will remember fondly the trials and tribulations of a toddler in the house! The quilt looks so fab! (ooh I can even see some of the fabrics that I sent you - thanks for including them!) I hope you enjoy the hand quilting, it is a skill I have yet to master. Hope you have a better day tomorrow. Cheers - Rita
ReplyDeleteAw so sorry you had a crappy day.... those photos of your green quilt just make me smile :-) I've never done hand quilting, not sure if my fingers would hold up! Yeah, I'm 28 and feel the Carpel Tunnel creeping in! Dude!
ReplyDeleteMaybe today will be better... yes?
So that would be one of those Comedy Of Errors days I know so well?
ReplyDeleteooh I'm sorry you've had a bad day and then I sent you a long boring email too sorry about that! The paint and carpet thing really sounds terrible. I'm in awe that you are quilting your quilt by hand!
ReplyDeleteOh Mel, I am absolutely sure it was a crappy day but I did have to stifle a little giggle. I hope today is better! Much love xx
ReplyDeleteSorry for the tough day! Your quilt is coming along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI had a day like that yesterday!! Just crazy madness. Your quilt is looking simply beautiful, best keep it away from the red painted pawed cat.
ReplyDeleteoh what a day that sounds like! well your quilt looks just lovely and soothing and also-my-favourite-cooour so I love it extra much. Hope today treats you well!
ReplyDeleteAmazing progress on your quilt Mel and it looks just perfect. I love how all the fabrics go together. And I love the fact that you're hand-quilting it, wow! You have more patience than me. I can't wait to see how it looks.
