my creative space :: finally!

bunny

I got to craft a toy for a fellow crafter's child! Hooray! No worrying about whether the parents might think I was being stingy, safe in the knowledge that I know she knows, you know?

This cute little guy ("blossom bunny"), was from softies and gave me the opportunity to try out satin stitch, backstitch, blanket stitch and a few failed attempts at french knots. I think he was the perfect size for an active little one-year-old's grip.

For more creative spaces pop over to the hostess with the mostest, Kirsty.

    I have trouble with french knots too, but everyone I mention this too says they are easy. XX

  2. He's really cute. After all that embroidery I am glad he's going to a home that will appreciate the love that went into it!

  3. Blogger is being silly and won't show me you post on my reading list? Silly reading list.

    I love this little bunny! Such a cutie and great fabrics! I know the feeling though, giving a handmade toy to someone who may not appreciate it verses giving it to someone who will love it. :)

  8. So cute Mel! Boo to anyone who thinks crafting is a stingy way to gift. We all know it's so not a cop-out. It's a step up. And I'm sure (and glad) your recipient family loves this little piece of love!
