my creative space :: is sick

sick

Three weeks of a sore throat, some antibiotics thrown in there without any result and finally I have given in.

And so this is my creative space : my bed where I have a lovely view of the latest stack'o'books. Some read and loved so much they can never be put away on the shelf, but most still waiting patiently for their turn.

See you all on the flipside.

And for creative spaces without the misery, go visit Kirsty ... man I could do with a pair of her slippers right about now ...

p.s  Any and all tried and tested flu-ish remedies welcomed. As well as ways to describe "soup" so that the Mr doesn't come home with risotto.

  1. Looks like you have a few good books there to get though.

I can recommend Carmex for a sore red nose that has been blown too much. It is a cold sore remedy but I use it for chapped lips and one day put it on my red raw blown nose and the next day ... new nose!

  7. Hope you are feeling better soon and that the soup arrives and helps. I like a herbal tea to drink and an old movie to watch when I am sick. And of course I would like to have a husband who waits on me hand and foot. If you could just remind him of that....

  11. Noooo. Drink lemon juice in your water. In fact I'm off to do that now because I'm getting a sore throat. Might have to borrow your books... eeek.

  12. A thick slice of fresh lemon, tablespoon of honey, and about a teaspoon of fresh ginger, pour on boiled water, drink as soon as it's cool enough. Prevents infection in the throat, and soothes any pain. works for me every time! Hope you feel better soon.

  14. Oh, poppet - no fun. Especially negotiating lumpy rice bits down a red, raw throat. I feel a bit of your pain. Had I put in a request for soup, I would have received sausage and mash. Beautifully cooked, mind.

Hope you're on the proper mend speedy-like.
